Our Story...

In the 1950s, the foundation of Cottor Farms was laid by Robbert and Merna Cottor, who recognized the local demand for a feedmill to cater to the community’s needs. The business gained significant momentum following notable victories at county fairs, propelling their feedmill to new heights. 
 
In 1963, the legacy was entrusted to their sons, Rick and Dan, who not only upheld but expanded the family vision. Their focus shifted towards supporting young talents in winning livestock shows at county fairs by providing top-notch feed and supplements. The Cottor legacy continued to evolve with the arrival of Leo, whose expertise elevated our offerings to cater to a diverse range of Open Show Animals. This includes equine, sheep, goats, cattle (dairy and beef), poultry, and rabbits, reinforcing our commitment to comprehensive animal nutrition. 
 
Over the years, our commitment to serving the community’s agricultural needs has only strengthened. As a full-service feed mill, we take pride in our ability to mill whatever you need, ensuring a comprehensive solution for all your livestock’s dietary requirements. 
 
However, we don’t just operate a feed mill; we are deeply embedded in the fabric of county fairs and actively participate in the showcasing of our customers’ animals. Our engagement extends beyond Osceola to Polk County, St. Croix County, Chisago County, and Washington County fairs, where we annually purchase market animals.  The journey of Cottor Farms is not just a legacy; it’s a testament to our dedication to agriculture, livestock, and the success of our valued customers.
